Hi, my name is Robert Scheer. When I went on a business trip to India, I had a great time. I saw the Taj Mahal, met some wonderful people, and ate some really exotic food, and even rode on an elephant! But when I look back at it, things would have been better if I had been able to speak and understand Hindi.

Sure, a lot of people in India speak English, but it’s going to be so much better when I can not only talk to people in Hindi, but also understand what they are saying to each other.

That is why I want to learn the language. Not only for when I visit India again, but there are a lot of people who speak Hindi who live in my area of Vancouver, Canada. Some of them I meet socially, and others I do business with. When you can converse with a person in their own language, it shows them you really care and respect their culture.

But, the problem was I could not find a good way to learn Hindi until recently. That’s when I found out that the Rocket Language people are coming out with a language course designed so absolute beginners like me can learn to speak and understand Hindi as quickly and as painlessly as possible. I want more than just to be able to order food in a restaurant or ask where is the bathroom. I want to be able to speak Hindi like a native of Bombay or New Delhi, and to be able to understand Indians when they talk in their official language.

The other language lessons they offer, like Rocket Spanish and Rocket Italian, have proven very popular, because they work so well and are so easy to use. Basically, you download mp3 audio lessons and listen to them to suit your own time schedule.
